Mary and I started our friendship in 7th grade.  We were seated alphabeticlly in Science class.  And Saunders set next to Shirey.  This was the start of a great friendship until she moved to New York.  We didn't see each other for many years but reconnected shortly after she moved back to Texas.  However, by that time I was married and living in Oklahoma.  We did have the wonderful opportunity to reconnect at our GPHS 40th reunion in 2011.  She Gail Thomas Clark and I had a great time catching up on our lives and enjoying the evening.  We had a few pictures taken together and they are posted on this sight.  She was a special person to me and I shall always hold dear the memories we shared in junior and senior high school.  May she rest in peace....

I gasped when I saw this notice! As Darlene said, the three of us had a great friendship and so many good times in our years at Adams and GPHS. I lost contact with her when I married and had a baby, and as Darlene mentioned, we had such a joyful reunion at the 40th GPHS Reunion. Mary was always full of mischief, and as her memoriam said, the life of the party.  She had a big personality, but was such a great friend, very caring and sweet, along with her crazy fun nature. It's sobering to hear that one of your contemporaries has passed on, much too young. Thanks for the good times and the wonderful memories, my favorite redhead!
