Melinda Gaye Bolton Robbins

Melinda Gaye Bolton Robbins, 59, a life-long resident of Grand Prairie, Texas, died on Saturday, January 4, 2013 in Arlington, Texas.

Melinda was born December 18, 1953, the youngest of five children born to the late Luther Alton Bolton Sr. and the late Ruth Celene Kennedy Bolton. She was raised in Grand Prairie and was a graduate of Grand Prairie High School.

Shortly after school, she would marry Jerry Robbins with whom she would spend the next 41 years of her life with. Together, they would raise 2 sons. Melinda loved being a mother, and later in life, a grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time racing and observing the drag races with her husbands and sons.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Jeffrey Robbins, Brian Robbins and his wife Martha; grandchildren, Taylor, Ross, Andrew Ross, Makayla Robbins, Dylann Robbins, Ethan Robbins; great-granddaughter, Sophia Clift.

The memorial service was held Wednesday, January 9, 2012 at Open Door Baptist Church, 2545 West Warrior Parkway, Grand Prairie, Texas., 75052, Pastor James Hogue officiating.
