Dorothy Rebecca "Becky" Emmons
September 24, 1952 - October 8,2015

Dorothy Rebecca "Becky" Emmons passed away October 8, 2015. She was born in Azle, Texas on September 24, 1952 to William and Frances Driver.

Becky grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was a cheerleader and graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in 1971. In June 1971 she married her high school sweetheart Benny Emmons and they made Grand Prairie their home.

Becky attended Trinity Baptist church and worked for Supreme Western Products as the secretary treasury. She enjoyed watching fixer-upper shows, shopping, painting and redecorating her house. Becky was a quiet, self-contained woman who was shy unless you asked her questions about her children or grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her baked beans, homemade soup and chicken casserole. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara Jean Doughtey and brother Tommy Driver.

She is survived by her husband Benny Joe Emmons; chidren: Tamara Nicole McShane and her husband Patrick, Benny Joe Emmons Jr. and his wife Claire; grandchildren: Kelsey McShane, Tyler McShane, Kamiryn Alexis Emmons, Benny Joe Emmons III, Trinton Michael Emmons and brother Bill Driver.

My heart and prayers go out to Benny and all the family.  I remember Becky so well.  She was such a nice and wonderful person.

My prayers are for the family, especially Benny 3 and Trinton.  I had the pleasure of being their P.E. Teacher at Seguin and they are wonderful young men.  May God bless all of you at this sorrowful time.
