Billy Steve Culberson, Jr., 61, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral is set for Thursday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Culberson was born July 3, 1953 in Texarkana, Ark. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Steve Culberson Sr., and son, James Michael Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Louise Culberson of Weatherford; mother, Mary Alice Culberson of Grand Prairie; son, Billy Jacob Culberson; sister, Dixie Turman; and numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be his nephews Jim Bob Clark, Joe Paul Clark, John Mello, Mark Moore, Robb Cowley, Rodney Peugh and Brent Turman.

I am very sorry to hear about Steve's passing and wish we had been able to catch up before he passed. Steve was the one who taught me to play guitar and that had an effect on many youth groups, as well as, a source of great enjoyment for me. I pray for his family and look forward to meeting him again in heaven.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Steve. I remember him through grade school and junior high. He was one of my first boyfriends in elementary. Met him at the uptown theater. God Bless him and his family.

My memories of the song “Alice’s Restaurant” are partially from Arlo Guthrie, but they are even stronger from Steve doing it. Late at night, there were several of us sitting up on the auditorium stage, with Steve putting on a concert. Great memory of a great guy. RIP Steve!

Steve was a great guy. I met him through Charlie Boykin when they played music together. Steve the guitar and Charlie the drums. Charlie would pick Steve and I up every morning and give us a ride to school.
