Rickey Lynn Burson
March 2, 1953 - February 18, 2023

Rickey Lynn Burson, 69, passed away on February 18, 2023 at Medical City Hospital in Arlington, TX. He was born on March 2, 1953 in Dallas,TX to Jack Burson and Wanda Johnson Burson.

Rickey grew up in Grand Prairie, TX. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, TX in 1971.  After high school he had various jobs before becoming a truck driver.

He began work for Baxter/Cardinal Health then Penske Trucking where he worked for  35 years.  He retired in 2021 .

He was chairman of deacons, and Sunday School teacher at Northwest Baptist Church in Arlington, TX as well as many other activities there, such as the Food Pantry with a passion for servanthood.

Rick married Debbie Pyle in Grand Prairie in 2016. They were happily married for 7 years, having known each other since High School.

Rickey was preceded in death by his sisters Pamela Long and Cindy Kuehne.

Rickey is survived by his wife Debera and his mother Wanda Burson, step-mother Louise Burson. His daughters Brittany Burson; Kristin Morales, spouse Jimmy Emerine and son Jackson; Tiffany Conrad, spouse Matthew  and their children Emma, Eiden and Elijah. His stepchildren Jeremy & Valerie Tulipane,  Kalen Tulipane and her son Hunter. His sister Sandy Mathison, spouse Jesse and children  Heather and Hannah. Cindy's children Jacey Fisher and Myranda Kuehne. Nephews Robert Long and Clint Long. As well as his father Jack Burson.

A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, at 2:00pm Saturday, February 25, 2023. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, February 24, from 6-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Northwest Baptist Church Food Pantry Ministry. Northwestarlington.org.  Choose Giving, select Food Pantry.

Rickey was partial to the scripture Jude 24-25.
