November 23, 1953 - January 16, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debera Sue Landers, affectionately known as Debbie, on January 16, 2026. Born on November 23, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas, Debera was a beacon of light and love in the lives of those she touched. Debbie lived her life knowing what mattered most was her church, her family, and her work at Footlocker. A testament to her unwavering faith, Debera served diligently at Indian Hills Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX as an organist. She served by leading musicals, led handbells, directed the youth choir, children's choir, and supported many other areas of service throughout the years. Her dedication and generosity were as inspiring as the verse from 1 Peter 4:10, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in it's various forms." Debera's talent as an accomplished pianist, is represented in her many accommodations and successful scoring throughout years of study and hard work. She attended state, UIL, and various other competitions showing her accomplishments. In her adulthood she played the piano and organ for the church performing the sweetest melodies for over 30 plus years. Debera's talent was as diverse as it was profound. As an Executive Assistant to the Regional Vice President for Footlocker, she demonstrated an unparalleled dedication until her retirement of 39 years of service. Her generosity extended into her work, where she was always ready to lend a hand or guide her colleagues. Her hard work and dedication led to her earning "Striper of the Year" award in 2005. Debera is survived by son Jeremy with wife Valerie Tulipane, her daughter Kalen Tulipane with Jacob Adkins and grandson Hunter Hernandez. Sister and Brother-in Law Judy and Larry Mabry. Nephews Jackie with wife Amy Coonrod. Nephew Michael Mabry. Great-nephews and nieces, Matthew Coonrod, Madison Coonrod, Marshall Mabry, and Bella Mabry. She was preceded in death by her spouse Ricky Burson, and her parents Fernie David Pyle, Jr. and Thelma Louise Pyle. A time of visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Indian Hills Baptist Church. Followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2:30 pm. We invite you to join us in honoring Debera's beautiful life at 814 Tamara Lane, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75051. In memory of Debera, we encourage you to leave your precious memories and upload photos to the memorial page. As we celebrate her life, let us remember Debera as the talented, generous, creative, and dedicated woman she was. May her legacy continue to inspire and guide us.
