FRED KENDRICK “KENNY” GUYER, age 58, of Grand Prairie, TX, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Dallas. Born November 21, 1952 in Grand Prairie, he joined the US Army in 1971 and served in Vietnam. An inspector with quality assurance, he worked for the ITW Corporation for 15 years. He moved to Houston in 2002 until early this year for his work. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. He married Hien Nguyen in 2000 in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Pauline Guyer of Grand Prairie; brother, Richard Guyer of Grand Prairie; sister, Diane Guyer of Grand Prairie; aunt, Ann Dameron of Arlington; nieces and nephews, Ricky Guyer of Fort Worth, Darla Marie Guyer of Grand Prairie, Ethan Guyer of Kennedale, Austin Guyer of Fort Worth, Alex Guyer and Abby Guyer both of Fort Worth, Deshawn Boles and Dion Bowden both of Grand Prairie; and a cousin, Donna Davis of Arlington. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 19, 2011 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial with military honors will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
